Firmware migration using the library

Though some API functions are identical in STM32F1 and STM32F3 devices, in most cases

the application code needs to be rewritten when migrating from STM32F1 to STM32F3.

However, STMicroelectronics provides an “I2C Communication peripheral application library

(CPAL)”, which allows to move seamlessly from STM32F1 to STM32F3: the user needs to

modify only few settings without any changes on the application code. For more details

about STM32F1 I2C CPAL, please refer to UM1029. For STM32F3, the I2C CPAL is

provided within the Standard Peripherals Library package.
