If the test fails, the dialog shown in Figure 38.: Link connect test error dialog displays. (A

similar dialog displays for the RLink option).

Press OK to continue, and check the physical connections between your PC and target

board by performing a loopback test.

Click the Target Connect Test button to test communication from your PC through the

JTAG chain on the target board.

Note:

It is recommended that link and connectivity tests be run before attempting any JTAG

operations.

The dialog shown in Figure 39.: Target connectivity test dialog displays, showing the

preliminary steps required for a successful test.

If the JTAG chain on the target board successfully responded, a message displays

indicating the test passed. Press OK to continue.
