Althoughahighspeedoscillatorisused,runningthemicrocontrolleratadividedclockratioreduces theoperatingcurrent. SLOW Mode Thisisalsoamodewherethemicrocontrolleroperatesnormallyalthoughnowwithaslowerspeed clocksource.TheclocksourceusedwillbefromfSUB.ThefSUBclockisderivedfromtheLIRC oscillator.Runningthemicrocontrollerinthismodeallowsittorunwithmuchloweroperating currents. SLEEP Mode TheSLEEPModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheFHIDENand FSIDENbitarelow.IntheSLEEPmodetheCPUwillbestopped,andthefSUBclocktoperipheral willbestoppedtoo,buttheWatchdogTimerfunctionisdecidedbyuserapplication. IDLE0 Mode TheIDLE0ModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheFHIDENbitin theSCCregisterislowandtheFSIDENbitintheSCCregisterishigh.IntheIDLE0Modethe CPUwillbeswitchedoffbutthelowspeedoscillatorwillbeturnedontodrivesomeperipheral functions.
