Standard Serial I/O Mode
In standard serial I/O mode, the user ROM area can be programmed with the MCU mounted on a board by using a
serial programmer supporting the M32C/8B Group. For additional information about the serial programmer,
contact your serial programmer manufacturer. Refer to the user’s manual of your serial programmer for details on
operating instructions. Table 23.8 lists pin functions for flash memory standard serial I/O mode. Figures 23.16 to
23.17 show pin connections for standard serial I/O mode.
