6 / 16 page ![]() SSM2163 REV. 0 –6– PIN DESCRIPTION Pin # Mnemonic Function 1 DGND Digital Ground. 2VSS Digital Negative Supply. 3 DATA OUT Serial data output clocked on positive clock edge. Connect DATA OUT to DATA IN pin to daisy-chain multiple SSM2163s. Output levels are VDD to DGND. 4VDD Digital Positive Supply. 5VIN1 Audio Signal Input 1. 6 NC (Shield) Shield Pin. Should be tied to AGND to minimize crosstalk. 7VIN3 Audio Signal Input 3. 8 NC (Shield) Shield Pin. Should be tied to AGND to minimize crosstalk. 9VIN5 Audio Signal Input 5. 10 VCC Analog Positive Supply. 11 VIN7 Audio Signal Input 7. 12 VEE Analog Negative Supply. 13 ACOM Analog Common Voltage. Provides a buffered voltage output halfway between VCC and VEE for use as a pseudo ground in single supply applications. 14 VOUTL Left Audio Output. 15 VOUTR Right Audio Output. 16 VIN8 Audio Signal Input 8. 17 AGND Analog Ground. 18 VIN6 Audio Signal Input 6. 19 NC (Shield) Shield Pin. Should be tied to AGND to minimize crosstalk. 20 VIN4 Audio Signal Input 4. 21 NC (Shield) Shield Pin. Should be tied to AGND to minimize crosstalk. 22 VIN2 Audio Signal Input 2. 23 NC (Shield) Shield Pin. Should be tied to AGND to minimize crosstalk. 24 LD Load Data. 25 WRITE Write Data. 26 CLK Clock. 27 Data In Serial Data Input. Clocked on positive clock edge. 28 SYSTEM MUTE Mutes all eight input channels thus left and right audio output are muted. System mute does not change the state of internal latches. All digital data remains intact after system mute is applied.
