Short-circuit protection

The regulator is protected against short-circuit of the SW pin. If this condition is detected, the regulator stops for a

tdisable,Buck time.

At the end of this period, the buck regulator restarts performing a soft-start.

Thermal protection

If the temperature of the buck converter circuitry exceeds the TSD threshold, it stops operating until the

temperature returns below the TSD - TSD(Hyst) level (auto-restart).

When the regulator returns operative, a soft-start is performed.

5.1.2

3.3 V linear regulator

The device integrates a low-drop linear regulator (LDO) to generate the 3.3 V supply starting from the REGIN

input voltage. The 3.3 V output voltage supplies both the gate driver logic and the microcontroller.

The LDO output current is limited, making the regulator protected against short-circuit and overload.

An undervoltage monitoring circuit is active on the 3.3 V supply which triggers a reset if the voltage falls below

VREG3V3(Off).
