Dividedintotwotypes,thefirstofDataMemoryisanareaofRAMwherespecialfunctionregisters

arelocated.Theseregistershavefixedlocationsandarenecessaryforcorrectoperationofthe

device.Manyoftheseregisterscanbereadfromandwrittentodirectlyunderprogramcontrol,

however,someremainprotectedfromusermanipulation.ThesecondareaofDataMemoryis

reservedforgeneralpurposeuse.Alllocationswithinthisareaarereadandwriteaccessibleunder

programcontrol.

TheoverallDataMemoryissubdividedintotwobanks.TheSpecialPurposeDataMemoryregisters

areaccessibleinallbanks,withtheexceptionoftheEECregisterataddress40H,whichisonly

accessibleinBank1.SwitchingbetweenthedifferentDataMemorybanksisachievedbysettingthe

BankPointertothecorrectvalue.ThestartaddressoftheDataMemoryforalldevicesistheaddress
