Weidmüller terminal - SAK-series- are pro-

ved in millions of applications for more

than 50 years.

Available for the two rail systems TS32

and TS35, the SAK terminals are useable

for every application and for all cross-sec-

tions. SAK terminals fulfill the requirements

of EN 60 947-7-1.

Thermosetting plastic or

Thermoplastic

Terminal of thermosetting plastic are nor-

mally used in applications where high con-

tinuous service temperature and high

flammability level are necessary. The

Weidmüller thermosetting plastic KRG is

very resistant against infection through

mould and micro-organisms.

The thermoplastic material Polyamide 66

has very good electrical and mechanical

properties upto 100 °C. PA66 is flexible

and unsusceptible to fracture, even with

low temperatures.

Polyamid 66 has improved fire resistance

and is self-extinguishing with flammability

level V2 according to UL 94.

Cross-connection systems

40% of all terminals are cross-connected

for potential branching.

Weidmüller distinguishes between the fol-

lowing cross-connection units for SAK-

series:

• type Q pre-assembled cross-connec-

tions

• type QL permanent cross-connections

• type VL removeable cross-connection

straps

• type QS removeable cross-connection

plugs

Cross-connection systems from the SAK

and AKZ series, type Q, QL or VL or other

freely accessible live components, must be

protected with appropriate covers ADP 1

or 4 or TSK 31.5 as long as they are to be

inserted safe from contact.
