An eSIM is a surface-mounted device soldered directly on the PCB,

which enables OEMs to design smaller and thinner mobile devices and

end-users to subscribe to the mobile network operator of their choice.

Remote provisioning of the SIM application inside the eSIM device

is ensured by subscription management systems compliant with the

GSMA Remote SIM Provisioning specification.
