8.9 Possible display configurations

The display configurations possible with the PCA8530 depend on the number of active

backplanes outputs required. A selection of possible display configurations is given in

Table 29.

7 segment display has 8 segments/elements including the decimal point.

14 segment display has 16 segments/elements including decimal point and accent dot.

All the display configurations in Table 29 can be implemented in the typical systems

shown in Figure 12 and Figure 13.
