Trong các thành phần điện tử, 12 bit là một trong những đơn vị đại diện cho độ chính xác của dữ liệu.

12 bit có nghĩa là 12 chữ số có sẵn khi được thể hiện bằng nhị phân.

Đó là, nó có thể đại diện cho 4096 giá trị khác nhau cho công suất thứ 12 của 2.

12 bit được sử dụng rộng rãi trong các bộ chuyển đổi tương tự sang số (ADC).

Ví dụ, ADC 12 bit chia điện áp đầu vào thành 4096 bước và chuyển đổi nó thành giá trị kỹ thuật số. Do đó, ADC 12 bit có thể đo điện áp đầu vào chính xác hơn.

Ngoài ra, 12 bit được sử dụng trong các bộ chuyển đổi kỹ thuật số sang tương tự (DAC), v.v.

DAC 12 bit chuyển đổi tín hiệu đầu vào kỹ thuật số thành điện áp tương tự trong 4096 bước.
